Our 100% Fonio Flour is gluten-free, with a light, slightly nutty and almost sweet flavor. It is fine-milled and incredibly versatile. Fonio Flour can be used in a wide variety of baking and cooking recipes, especially when combined with other gluten-free flours and starches.

Use fonio flour to replace up to a third of conventional wheat flour in any recipe to add depth of flavor, nutrition, and texture variation. Nutrient-dense fonio flour provides B-vitamins, antioxidants, zinc, and magnesium, and is especially high in amino acids Methionine and Cysteine, which promote tissue growth and are deficient in all other grains. Just like fonio grain, fonio flour scores low on the glycemic index.
